Hey ma! Where's my pants?!

alamak! my mama forgot my pants!

So the truth is, we usually don't wear pants for him at home. Thus whenever we're in the excitement of going to the playground, we'll often forgot to put it on for him, ha!

Hey I'm only human!

Just some quirky bits about me to kick start the weekend.

:: I like to stand in the shower pulling out all my stray hairs (from my head) with my fingers before I start showering proper.
:: I must placed the labels of any products I'm using faced out. This is so I can look at them and go, 'ooooh, so organized!'
:: I must placed all products in ascending order. Tallest one at the back, you shortie, in front. This is also so I can look at them and go, 'oooh, so systematic!'
:: I must hang my towels in a neat and straight line. No haphazard hanging for me please. I get pissed off with the husband when he does that.
:: I squeezed my toothpaste from the bottom up.
:: I scrubbed my toilet floors with a toothbrush. Yes, every tile has to be scrubbed that way. Don't judge.
:: I must open the windows immediately after the air-con is switched off. This is so I won't get suffocated. Again, don't judge.
:: I like to peel the price tags off my stuff. Just because it looks ugly and they block my point of asthetic view.
:: No matter how short the distance might be, I always put my farecard back into my bag after I've board and tapped the card. I like to be in control.
:: I like odd numbers. If I had 2 chicken wings already, I must have the 3rd one. There's no such thing as having too many chicken wings
:: This is a job that no one appreciates, but I like to refill the ice-tray. Because I like it to be filled.
:: I enjoy making my bed, neat. My husband just makes it messy.
:: I arranged my clothes firstly by style, followed by design, followed by colours.
:: The same goes for my underwear.

Heeheehee... blowing kisses your way!

What I'm going through now

When Things Go Wrong
By Anon

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit-
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a fellow turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out.
Don't give up though the pace seems slow -
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man;
Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victor's cup;
And he learned too late when the night came down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out -
The silver tint in the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It might be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit -
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.

From The Daily Love

Musical Wednesdays

So lately, I've been listening to country music. All thanks to this band called Lady Antebellum's song, Just a kiss. You can listen to it here. Its about testing out a new relationship, yearning to be in a deeper level, yet not wanting to scare each other off by being too needy. Its a great song to listen to, often gives me the sweet melancholic feel.

And country music is all about life. The meaning of life, how you live your life, stories of your lives, your mama's life, suicide, how you met your wife, husband, chickens and whats nots. I loved it! Their lyrics are often meaningful, poignant and full of emotions. Not like the lyrics to a pop song I heard not long ago on radio on probing you and disrobing you, its so sexual, its just so wrong.

But my musical tastes are quite varied. I like to listen to rap, folk, classical, rock songs. What about oldies? Erm not really my cup of tea though my husband loves it. He even knows the lyrics to most of them. Gosh, he's such an old soul. Pah to lounge, trance music too. Its like listening to WTF? Ha.

Okay, and leaving you with a picture that has no musical innotations.

all he needs is a cocktail in his hands

This is the entry that does'nt makes sense

Really, people changed all the time. Me, you, the lady over there, the one with the supposedly good husband, nice house, fancy car, we all changed.

Some change in their opinions towards life, others changes their point of view, some become nasty, friendly, indifferent, empathetic, sociapath or just plain crazy. Point is, at some junction in our life, we do change.

We changed to adapt. Changed to fit in, changed to stand out, change to be the first, so many changes going on, even right now. I don't know what I'm trying to say here, but when changes occur, how many of us are really prepared? We may be like a deer caught in a headlight, we may have done our homework and prepared for it, chances are, when changes occur, it is subtle.

Little by little, it overtakes you and before you realised it, you've changed. The difference is, will you allowed it to happen? Will you let yourself be led by it and go with the flow?

Will you be changed?

Its amazing how time flies when you spent it sleeping

I was down with flu over the weekend and spent most of it zombiefied. The flu actually struck on Wednesday, but I succumbed to it on Thursday, went to see a most horrible doctor and spent Friday sleeping till Saturday.

Yup, thats how my weekend went.

You! You grow too fast

My baby boy has learnt how to talk. Well, he still babbles alot but here and there you can hear some recognizable words. Like dot (dog), teers! (cheers!), mummum (can means food or milk), tar (stars) and mama.

Other times he babbles a whole lot of babyish stuff only he can understand. And for now every animal he sees is dot! which he points to with great excitment. And of course which kid would grow up without some self assertion right? For now everytime he pulls my hands to lead me to the fridge, he would expect me or any other person to open it for him. For me, I would'nt care less about opening it. And when no one opens it for him, he would sit on the floor and bang his head. Nope, no one taught him how to do that.

Or there was this one time, he did'nt want to leave the play area of a food court and he just lay on the floor crying. We just walked on and my sister had to carry him off, hee.

He is growing up so fast! One minute he's just starting to learn how to walk, and now he's starting to run!

Oh! And finally we cut his hair. Actually my mum cut it and it was erm, not appropriate for a boy. She gave him a bowl cut which made him look even more like a girl. So we went to a proper barber to trim it and gave him a more boyish style, the slope.

Here is him doing his latest move, head leaning to the side. And nope, we did'nt teach him that either.

I.Have.Nothing.To.Wear

Everyday I stand in front of my wardrobe contemplating this elusive question. Whilst staring at the pile of clothes in front of me and sifting through the racks, trying on and putting back the clothes, the answers always seems to elude me.

Sigh. The dilemma of being an woman. Especially now that I'm back to work, it seems that my already minute wardrobe has shrunk even further. Erm anyway its not that I need to dress corporately or fancy to work, actually most of the staff dress quite casually. It's just that I would like to have more choices, hee.

But how do I dress? I'm a practical girl. I prefer comfort over vanity, functional over extravagance, affordability over designer prices and I dress to my own liking rather than the latest trends.

I like layers, I like loud colours, I like floral, I like prints, I like graphics,I like polka dots, I like stripes, I like knitwear, cardigans, long dresses, long skirts, jeans, sneakers, short skirts. Sometimes I'm dress like a prim and proper lady, sometimes I'm dressed like a tomboy, sometimes I'm dressed like a nun, at times my husband says I'm dressed like a clown, but most times I'm dressed simply, ha!

Here are some of the outfits that speaks of me.

I can wear this everyday

when I feel flirty

white jeans or any jeans is always a classic

cardigans are my weakness

to the beach! love this the most!

Party people in the house tonight

This past weekend has been an exhausting one! We attended a barbeque on Saturday night and celebrated Mother's Day on Sunday at a karaoke joint! Yes!! A karaoke joint!

Actually, it was my mother-in-law who invited us to join her in-law's side for the celebrations. They're a big family where the cousins meet up every weekend at their grandma's house for dinner and mahjong. And it happens that as it was also Mother's Day, they decided to join their love for Mothers and singing together, hence they held it at a karaoke joint. Freaking happening family!

And they even went the extra mile by having games! So they got all the mothers to stand in a line and our respective partners were given 20 mins to 'dress' us up using materials like balloons, newspapers and ribbons. The most creative one will win a prize! It's so cool and heartwarming to see the effort they put in to make everyone have a good time. Anyway the objective was'nt to win, but just to have a good laugh and good fun.

And little Benjamin? He was the highlight of the day! He thoroughly enjoyed himself by dancing and screaming in excitement. It was so cute seeing him dance and in this case, his dancing generally involves him turning round and round in circles. Too cute!

And at the end of each day, he was completely knacked out. So was I, hee. But it warms me to enjoyed ourselves with family. Because no matter what each of us might be going through at the moment, your family will still be standing by you through the darkest of days. Or rather, held in place with ribbons and ballons >_<

Pessismistic quotes for the weary soul

- My love is like a well, dig deep enough and it'll flows out. If it does'nt, it just means its an empty well.

- Problems are like waves, they keep coming one after another.

- See the wall? Thats where we're headed.

I'm not an auntie, I'm just being eco-friendly

So, working in the gardens has somewhat made me more conscious of being in sync with Mother Nature. With all the talk of going green, being green (not you Hulk) and the 3Rs- Reuse, Reduce and Recycle going on, it seems that I do subconsciously make an effort to do it.

Like if I'm going to the supermarket, I'll try to use my shopping bag instead of plastic bags, and whatever plastic bottles that are used, I'll try to dump it into the recycling bin. And also, I'm mindful of not wasting paper, hee but it's a little hard as we need to do quite a bit of paper work in the office. So if I need to print anything thats not important, I'll use a used paper to print it.

And just this morning, I even took my lunchbox to pack my takeaway instead of the usual styrofoam boxes. Good job! Ha!

Overall I do feel a little better about doing my part and knowing that somewhere, a square feet of the earth is being protected by my miniscule effort.
